MEDTEC Europe scores again in 2011

UBM Canon would like to thank all visitors and exhibitors for turning MEDTEC Europe, their platform for the medical manufacturing industry, into another big success!

The leading European trade fair for medical technology "MEDTEC Europe”, held from 22 to 24 March 2011 in Stuttgart, managed to surpass the extremely high-growth year 2010 in terms of number of exhibitors, exhibition space and number of visitors by around five percent.

1003 exhibitors (previous year: 964) occupied 16,000 square meters (previous year: 14,900) in Halls 2, 4, 6 and 8 of the Stuttgart Exhibition Centre. The exhibitors came from 32 countries in Europe, America and Asia. 

MEDTEC Europe 2011 registered 13,500 trade visitors (previous year: 13,000).

This confirms again the trade event as the leading medical platform in Europe, worldwide in second place behind the U.S. trade event "Medical Design & Manufacturing (MD&M) West"- also organised by UBM Canon.

Crucial to the success is the growing market for medical technology in general, but very important as well is the innovative aspect of the wide range of products shown at MEDTEC Europe and its co-located exhibitions SüdTec, RapidWorld, 3C and the new DesignMed Europe. It ranges from a wide variety of mechanical, electrical, control, plastic, connection and packaging technology to clean-room issues, rapid prototyping and the increasingly important microelectronics. 

We hope to welcome you again at the next edition of MEDTEC Europe on 13, 14 & 15 March at the Messe in Stuttgart.
