Triskel Therapeutics BV

Triskel Therapeutics BV is a spin-off company of the University of Groningen and working on the pre-clinical development of variants of the human cytokine TRAIL. This protein is able to kill cancer cells by inducing apoptosis without harming healthy cells, making it a promising anti-cancer biological. The variants that have been developed by an international EU consortium are receptor-specific and able to kill cancer cells with greater efficiency than the wild-type protein. This has been established in cancer cell lines and in mouse models in collaboration with partners at the RUG and UMCG.
