Region Skåne

Skåne is a united county with Region Skåne acting as its co-ordinator in many important issues of regional development. Its work lies within the areas of health, medical and dental services, trade and industry development, the environment, promotion of investment, town and infrastructure planning, public transport and culture. Political work is focused on creating good conditions and opportunities for Skåne to become an attractive region in which to work, establish businesses, study and live. Co-operation stretches beyond the boundaries of the region, particularly into Denmark and the countries around the Baltic.
