Biobased polyester plastic, a bacterial polyhydroxyalkanoate (PHA) produced by fermenting sugar and vegetable oil derived fatty acids in a sustainable process, with a PHA-product that can be processed using conventional techniques (injection molding, extrusion, film blowing, fiber spray molding) or used as a watery suspension or solvent solution, and with commercial application e.g. biodegradable packaging or biocompatible medical implant materials.
