Officially founded in July 2005, the Atlanpole Biotherapies competitiveness cluster has drawn together a community of fundamental & clinical research organizations and higher education institutions located in and around the cities of Nantes and Angers in western France. These stakeholders share the ambition (endorsed by all the region's local authorities and institutions) of federating the range of skills present in the cluster's labs, technical facilities and businesses and of offering comprehensive, relevant and competitive private-public sector solutions right along the biotherapeutics value chain - from target discovery to clinical assessment. By building on the cluster's fields of excellence (such as drug targeting, biomanufacturing and preclinical & clinical evaluation), Atlanpole Biotherapies is positioning itself as a partner of choice in health-focused biotechnology.
